How Asia will change in the next two decades and the impact on societies, organizations and leaders
With its accelerated economic growth, Asia is now playing an increasingly important role in the global arena. Analysts predict that the region could become the world’s largest economy (by GDP contribution) by 2030.
Since Asia is changing at a rapid pace, the region is also believed to look very different in two decades. Key changes are already emerging – rapid advancement in technology and digitalization, evolving demographics, rapid urbanization, emerging sustainability issues, concerns around protectionism and populism, etc.
The research also points out that to deal with the megatrends that will impact Asia, leaders in the region need to change from future-anxious to future-fluent, which will require them to shift their mindsets, capabilities, awareness and also experience portfolios.
